Let's see my sisters and I were debating on whether or not we should go to a restaurant on Sunday with the family or just go on Saturday nite because we know that all the good places to eat are going to be filled to capacity. So we decided to go on Saturday nite. We had a few New Zealand visitors with us narell, Wayne and Hailey, who by the way are all really cool peeps!!So the kids, me, my mom, my sisters, my dear aunty, our visitors, my brother and one of our dancers went to the Redondo Beach Pier to eat some crab cuz mom loves her some crab and so do the kids, ugh..So we get there and it was not that packed, which is cool, everyone go their own crab and then my sister goes and gets 6 kui-kuis, they are the bomb. I can't eat thm without a kalo of fa'i, so I ate a little bit and then that was it for me. It was funny too cuz I got all warmed up to eat the crab, all stretching and crakin my neck gettin ready to tear up the crab..haha..So I ate a little bit and then I gave my crab up to my sister...My mom and aunt enjoyed their crab so that was nice. After we ate, we decided to go into the Fun Factory! so the kids were all playing games and they have a tilt a whirl ride in there. I was debating if I should get on or not cuz the little cart might not swilr with all this weight I got on me, but big mistake...I just finished eating and got on, it was fun but too fast at some points and my stomache was not feeling all that great! But none the less it was fun; then later on I found out that everyone else got on the ride..haha..so who knows if that ride is ever gonna flow again like it use to ya know...So then we all went and played the horse race game and we took up the whole line of chairs; it was nice. Daniel our visitor won 2 times in a row, which I think the game was rigged and the gurl controlling the game probably liked him or something, haha just kidding. Then Hailey won so that was good! So its getting late and then we go home and take the kids home and everyone is full and had a good time.So then we go to the Santa Monica Promenade to take our Foreign visitors. We walked down the alley way and it was really nice and relaxing, but my feet were hurting. There were free lance musicians performing in the walk way and the trees had Christmas lights and all the diff'rent shops were open. So if you have money and like to shop in a cool environment; I would recommend the Promenade. They also have cool restaurants and sidewalk cafes and things, but it was a nice night...We ended our nite at Fabulous #1 had some food and then called it a nite..so that was nice.

Its mothers day and I just gave my mom some money so she could do whatever she wanted. We all got ready for church. My sisters and I were assigned to sing for the Mothers Day Program in church, and the song we sang was not quite our style of singing, but we were obedient and sang it anyways. "Who can find a virtuous woman"...that is an old song, but hasn't been sung in a long time, so it was nice to bring it back...haha..The primary and youth sang alot of songs and you could enjoy the spirit of the children singing their hearts out for the Mothers. Its kind of werid now-a-days because Mothers Day at church use to be something we all looked forward too and everyone and anyone would come for their mothers. But as time passes on, it just seems like the hype is fading and I don't know why...hmmm...well at least at our church its fading...But we still have the OG families at our ward, and we're trying to be obedient and do what we're suppose to do.So ne-ways after church, I thought we were gonna go home, but then we end up at Onami's Japanese Restaurant and I like their food. So all of us go with our foreign friends and have a great meal, I was piggin out big time...haha...so what else is new...After dinner we all went home and relaxed...It was a good day..I hope that next Mothers day will be more exciting and that we are still well and able to go on another family outing...

I'm back again!!

Hi all,

I can't believe it! I just sat here and blogged like for 15 minutes and didn't save a thing and now its gone, how terrible is that, dang it! Well I guess I'm just gonna have to do it again a ea. Here we go.. Oh yea and wanna give a shout out to my big dawg MULU, going to NZ, handle it gurl ma alu e su'e mai si ta pe'us ya feel me...preferrably rugby playas...eh!!

Well lets see, I'm back again and I told my friend Wena that I would be blogging again and so here it is. Let me start off with the most recent memories that I've had, since I can remember those!
Last week, we were fortunate to have ADEAZE from New Zealand come and perform at our studio for Tupulaga and Solkrush. Talk about talent these boys can sing and play the guitar. Adeaze is on the high tip Logovii and the melody is Nanz (nickname). We had a good time with them and they sang some old favorite samoan songs and in return we did a few of the dances from different islands; it was very nice. The kids got to take pictures with them and I think over all it was a great experience for everyone. I sure did enjoy it cuz Dini and I got to sing with them and that was kool in itself. My other sister kept insisting that I go up and sing with them since they were aksing for a volunteer, but I was hesitant bcuz I didn't know the lyrics, then I was thinking to myself, self when are you gonna get this kind of opportunity to sing with these niggas,ya know, so then I went up. You know me, they started singing and then it was time for us to sing then I just went buck wild and started doing the motions to the song and it was real good fun!! I know I prolly shocked them but its all good..haha. These cats have some really good talent and I'm glad they came down to L.A.
A big shout out to Solkrush as well for bringing them down to the studio to meet all the kids.

I think that is all I'm going to blog about today, but expect more from me since I'm back in the game again. It feels good to be back. A shout out to Wena for always being faithful to her blog...

The Movie "Freedom Writers"

To my 2 Readers...haha

Friday, January 5, 2007, I went to the Galleria with my 2 uso's, and Bry, Jilly and Danna, to watch 'Freedom Writers." It first caught my eye because it was based out of Long Beach, CA and it was also a based on a True Story, I love those kinds of movies. So we caught the 10:00pm showing and it was also Adanna's birthday, she has reached the ripe age of 14..oh to remember them days...ugh!!

But the theater was rather crowded and really loud during the previews, so I was kinda like oh please let these peeps be quiet when the movie starts, and the previews even say that "SILENCE is GOLDEN"..So the movie started and boy did it start out with a BANG!! IT caught my attention right at the jump...I really enjoyed the movie because one of my goals is to eventually become a teacher, so this movie really motivated me to get started. Also before vacation, my cousin Lepe's husband is a teacher for the LA District and he gave me alot of information and insight on what I need to do to become a teacher. So it seems like thats what I decided to start working towards is teaching.

I work well with kids, so I think I'll be okay and I think its something thats way passed due! I guess this portion of my blog is gonna be a combination of 2 things, a movie review and my thoughts for the day.

Lets get back to the movie, I was very moved by the experiences that were shared and the things that the students were going thru in LIFE, its all about SURVIVAL of the fittest to me...Then here comes this teacher who just takes a moment to "CARE" about these kids and finds a way to connect with them and their real tragedies in life....A really good movie! One character was Eva Benevidez, boy did she have to grow up the hard way and learn how to survive and protect your own...She made a believer out of me, even made me shed a few tears. I felt like she really understood her charater in the movie and tried her best to make the audience believe it and she did it for me!
I would recommend this movie to others...have a nice day!

It's Catching Up Time...

Hi my readers, "all 2 of you"...

Just wanted to pass on thru and see if I could catch up on the Blog World. It feels like I haven't been on here for like FOREVER...Lets see alot has happened since the last time I was on here to BLOG, but the main things I want to blog about are first, My trip to the Pantages Theater in Hollywood to watch "The Lion King" with my sister. It was weird because one of my old co-workers sent out an e-mail to people asking who wanted to go to see the show for $50, I'm like naw..but then I'm thinking to myself and sayin, "SELF...hellur..didn't you say that you weren't gonna pass up any opportunities to see and do people...oops scratch that, I meant see and do things..So I said, what the F...I'm going! So I was able to get the 2 tickets and that was her christmas gift from me even though she didn't ask for it..haha..

So it was on December 14, 2006 (Thursday nite). I was so excited cuz I love to watch musicals and plays and MUSIC period...So its December 14th and we're at home getting ready and Bernz and David are gonna drop us off in Hollywood to the theater. Its like 6:50 pm and we are just leaving the house and I'm like thinking, dayum we're gonna be late, but NO, thanks to David and his Speedy Gonzales driving techniques, we make it with 15 minutes to spare...YES! So we're taking pictures and then we walk in the theater and its really nice in there...So Dini and I looking for our seats and hellur to my surprise the seats are like SMALL..so my sister and I have to make ourselves small to watch the show...I mean we fit in the chairs but our arms are like on top of each other not very comfortable but hey we gotta do what we gotta do...

So I'm sitting there admiring the theater and to my surprise I thought it would be bigger, but its not...So the curtains are lifting and I'm feeling like I"m gonna cry I was so excited...I know drama...ia valea...haha...so then Rafiki starts to sing and she's GREAT!! Then we sit and enjoy the play, after every scene we're clapping our hands, and then when Mufasa dies I cried, so SAD!! The actors were good and their voices were beautiful...noone went flat except for little Simba when he was young, I guess its a challenge to sing, and dance all over the stage and stay on key ya know...So it was cool..

Then it was intermission and hellur again, we go get some water and M&m's and something else and our bill was $16, I was like excuse me maam, how much? She's like $16, sheesh so I didn't want to get modid, I just paid for the stuff and took off... ay yay yay...that is like $4 an item. not the business...So my sister has to go to the lua(bathroom in hawaiian, cuz I'm 1/4 hawaiian..haha) and I'm like the lines are hella long, but she gotta go, so I"m like kay see ya inside, then I left, then I felt guilty cuz we're suppose to use the buddy system to go to the lua, so I turn around and come back and wait for her....aww.. the things i do....so we get into the theater and I feel like I gained 5 lbs just walking around outside cuz I sware the chairs got smaller...haha...then we watched the second half of the Lion king and it was great!! I sure do want to go again...Nala was good her voice was really nice and Simba when he got older, his voice was very on Tenor like high tenor but his songs were kinda high so I guess thats why...But over all I enjoyed Rafiki she was funny and her voice was on bomb.com!! I definitely want to see it again, they leave on January 6th...But I highly recommend it for anyone who is contemplating whether or not to attend, just totally beautiful...

It is now December 20, 2006....Wednesday-HUMP DAY!!
