"HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA" NIGHT OUT WITH THE KIDS

My little nephew has been anxiously awaiting for "Hotel Transylvania" to hit the movie theaters and today is his lucky day. We went to watch the movie and it was an "A" in my books. Dracula voice played by Adam Sandler- one funny guy and Mavis(his daughet) voice by Selena Gomez.
The story was veryy funny and had a touching part between father and daughter that I must say I adored. Mavis' mother passed away in a fire and Dracula vowed that he would always take care and protect his daughter in the absence of his beloved. Mavis is now 118 years old and in our time she's a teenager and looks like one too. She wants to get out of the castle her father has built and see the world, see humans and discover anything and anyone she can. Being cooped up n her castle was just played out and she wanted to explore new things. Her father is very protective over her and is afraid to let her go out in the world and spread her wings- literally- becuase she can turn into a  bat.
One day, a human boy, happens to stumble upon the castle. Its halloween time and he thinks everyone is wearing costumes, but he's actually the only human in the castle. If he's discovered that he's a human, all the monsters taking their annual vacation in the castle will kill him. Dracula finds a costume for him and tells him to act like a monster and blend it. I really the character and voice of Johnny Stein, which is what the called him. It totally played on his whole outlook on life, to have fun, explore the world and see it all while you can. He bumps into Mavis, literally bumps into her and their eyes "ZING". They knew and felt they were made for each other.
Long story-short, Mavis falls in love with Johnny and Dracula cannot have that. He's a human and she's vampire, and according to legend, Mavis' mother was a human as well. The humans just wouldn't accept dracula and his beautiful wife to be together and the towns people burned down the castle, she died leaving Dracula with little Mavis to raise.

The other characters in the movie were really funny and had my nephews lauging and enjoying everything. Its a happy ending movie which is what I liked the most. The music, the plot, the characters- so fun and fitting for the kids. This movie got an "A" for Awesome in my books. Had a good time on a Friday night with my nephews!
